Salary Range: $62,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for 3-axis to 5-axis milling machines using CAM software.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters for optimal performance.
• Perform post-processing and verify G-code for accuracy and machine compatibility.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists to optimize machining processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues during machine setup and production.
• Create and maintain detailed setup sheets and tooling lists for each program.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for generating toolpaths.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming for 3-axis and multi-axis CNC mills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• Experience with tool selection, cutting parameters, and workholding strategies.
• Knowledge of various materials (e.g., aluminum, steel, plastics) and their machining characteristics.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with 5-axis programming.
• Familiarity with a variety of CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM).
• Proven ability to optimize toolpaths for reduced cycle times and improved surface finish.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles.
• Experience with automation or robotics integration.
