Job Opportunity – ICU Registered Nurse – North Dakota

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Fargo, North Dakota

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts. Every other weekend and holiday rotation required. Self-scheduling available with unit needs consideration.

Highlights:

• 32-bed critical care unit within a 200+ bed Level 1 Trauma Center
• Diverse patient population including critically ill neuro, cardiac, CT surgery, trauma, medical, and surgical patients
• 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio with management of 1-3 critically ill patients
• EPIC EMR system with advanced monitoring technology including Phillips Patient Monitoring, IABP, EVD, and Impella
• Comprehensive 32-hour orientation program including critical care department cross-training
• Floating opportunities to multiple ICU settings with ratios up to 4:1

Requirements:

• Current RN license in North Dakota or Compact state
• Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience in a 200+ bed Level 1 Trauma hospital
• Charge nurse and/or preceptor experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• NIHSS certification
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Demonstrated experience titrating vasopressor drips (must be documented on resume or skills checklist)
• Ability to independently manage critically ill patients and assist with bedside procedures including RSI, EVD placement, tracheostomy, and line placement
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
