Job Description Job Description Description: Position Summary: Provide maintenance on residential heating and air conditioning systems according to company standard providing the customer with a high-quality experience. Education and Experience: * Minimum High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred * Previous HVAC experience preferred * Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints is preferred * Must possess or be able to acquire EPA certification within 3 months of entering the position * Knowledge of duct cleaning practices preferred * Basic written and verbal English language communication skills Essential functions and responsibilities: * Demonstrate commitment to developing customer service skills * Perform routine maintenance of HVAC equipment * Identify potential problems affecting current or future performance * Effectively communicate findings with customers * Maintain good working order of company vehicle, report any mechanical issues * Maintain proper stock, parts, tools and safety equipment in company vehicle * Perform duct cleanings at residential locations * Travel to job sites within service area; work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated * Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies * Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts and additional services * Other duties as assigned Success factors/job competencies: · Maintain a regularly punctual attendance record, fill out daily timecard accurately · Adhere to all company safety rules and regulations · Accuracy of paperwork, labor hours and materials charged to customers · Maximize number of sales leads, maintenance contracts and product sold · Cleanliness and organization of company vehicle and job site (customer's homes) · Regular use of personal protective equipment · Come to work ready to work with proper tools and attire · Obtain certifications to advance in career such as low voltage energy license. · Effective communication with dispatchers Physical demands and work environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
