Description Role Overview: The Multi-Functional Supervisor leads daily operations on the manufacturing floor for the Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) program in Huntsville, AL. This role ensures team performance aligns with key metrics for safety, quality, cost, and schedule while fostering a continuous improvement mindset. Responsibilities Facilitate a 6:00 AM morning stand-up meeting to align priorities and progress. Lead a team of technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Collaborate with engineering, quality, materials, facilities, program management, and safety teams to meet production objectives. Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. Oversee employee development, including training, performance assessment, and work assignments. Manage team performance, recognize achievements, and address performance concerns. Work Environment Fast-paced manufacturing floor with a focus on precision and safety. Collaborative environment requiring cross-functional coordination. Daily interaction with team members, engineers, and program staff to meet production goals. Basic Qualifications Candidates must meet all requirements listed below: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and related systems. Experience managing cost, quality, and schedule metrics in a manufacturing production or operational environment. Desired Skills These skills strengthen candidacy but are not required: Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing or defense setting. Supervisory or leadership experience managing teams. Strong understanding of cost, quality, and schedule management. Ability to maintain positive employee relations. Excellent oral, written, and active listening communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, pay attention to detail, and follow through on assignments. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off.
