About the Role We're hiring a Food Safety & Quality Manager who wants to own food safety end-to-end, influence operations daily, and be the trusted decision-maker when it comes to protecting consumers, customers, and the business. In this role, you will lead food safety and quality programs at our Customer Service Center (CSC), ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, and company standards. You will oversee the implementation, auditing, assessment, and continuous improvement of quality systems while partnering closely with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest levels of food safety, compliance, and operational excellence. What You'll Do Champion a strong food safety and quality culture that reflects SkyChefs' commitment to excellence. Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, FSMA, customer requirements, and company food safety and quality standards. Lead and maintain HACCP, Preventive Controls, environmental monitoring, microbiological testing, and quality verification programs. Conduct food safety assessments, inspections, testing, and quality reviews to identify risks and drive continuous improvement. Investigate food safety concerns, quality issues, and customer complaints, implementing effective corrective actions. Serve as the site lead for regulatory, customer, and third-party audits and inspections. Partner with Operations, Production, Human Resources, suppliers, and customers to strengthen food safety and quality performance. Monitor key food safety metrics, maintain accurate documentation, and provide insights and recommendations to leadership. Recruit, develop, coach, and support Food Safety team members while fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field. PCQI and HACCP certifications required. 5+ years of food safety and quality experience in a regulated food manufacturing environment. Experience leading regulatory, customer, and third-party audits and inspections. Strong knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations, FSMA Preventive Controls, HACCP principles, and cGMPs. Proven ability to investigate issues, analyze data, and drive effective corrective actions. Comfortable working in a hands-on role with regular presence on the production floor. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
