Job Description

As a Security Patrol Driver Mall Center in Newport Beach, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Security Officer at a dynamic retail center, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail center location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, property damage, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate professionally with law enforcement, emergency responders, retail personnel, and members of the public as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• This is primarily a driving post.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
