Service Coordinator
The Service Coordinator will manage day-to-day customer shipments by working within various customer portals. Each clientGM, Ford, Stellantis, Tesla, and othershas unique systems and requirements that the coordinator will learn. This role involves reviewing electronic orders and overnight updates, communicating changes internally, and supporting new product launches by managing quotes, lead times, and capacities within the portals. This is not a high-volume call role; it requires strong attention to detail, professional communication, and comfort learning new systems. The position includes every-other-weekend support, which can be completed from home after training.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily shipments and order activity through customer portals.
- Review electronic orders and overnight changes; communicate updates internally as needed.
- Support new product launches by coordinating quotes, lead times, and capacity details.
- Serve as a liaison between internal teams and customers regarding order adjustments.
- Submit and manage disputes and logistics issues.
- Coordinate with project managers, shipping, and scheduling teams.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience with MRP systems.
- Construction or automotive manufacturing environments is a plus.
- 2+ years of customer or client service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Knowledge of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).
- Detail-oriented with strong cross-department communication skills.
- Enjoys learning new systems and processes.
- Relevant degree preferred.
Work Environment
- Schedule: MondayFriday, 8 AM5 PM.
- Every other weekend: quick morning check-in via app for the Stellantis portal. If no issues appear, the task is complete. If a shortage is flagged, respond with the expected shipment date.
- Collaborative environment with opportunities to grow in the automotive sector.
- Additional learning resources available after six months.
Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Howell, MI.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $19.23 - $21.64/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
