Software Engineer - Top Secret Clearance Required

Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred,

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire . Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a software engineer for the NC3 business segment, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing the next generation of NC3 strategic deterrence systems.

• Software testing methodologies (Unit, Functional, Integration, etc.)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement features.
• Participate in code reviews for software quality discussion.
• Some familiarity with at least one mainstream IDE (Visual Studio, JetBrains, etc.)
• Problem solving skills and ability to break problems down into lowest form
• Ability to communicate ideas on a technical level. Can describe how what software/systems can/should do, inputs/outputs, behaviors of systems, diagram-out concepts, etc.
• Understand SDLC/Software lifecycle

What sets you apart:

• Familiarity with Linux
• Familiarity with DevOps-based development and deployment of systems from CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiar with virtualization and/or containerization (Hypervisors, Kubernetes/workload orchestration, etc.)
• Networking skills - either able to describe networking concepts and/or have experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, etc.
• Experience with Agile or other methodologies.
• Strong understanding of software development process, as well as software engineering concepts, principles, and theories
• Creative thinker capable of applying new information quickly to solve challenging problems
• Comfortable providing technical leadership
• Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success

Target salary range: USD $100,153.00/Yr. - USD $111,108.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
