Position Details

• Facility: Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center
• Position: Hemodialysis Registered Nurse (Dialysis RN)

• Contract Length: 12 Weeks

Schedule

• Shift: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
• Hours: 5:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Holiday coverage may be required if the dialysis unit is operating.

Required Experience

• Minimum 6 months of Hemodialysis RN experience (Required).
• Experience providing:
  • In-center hemodialysis.
  • Acute dialysis.
  • Peritoneal dialysis.
• Experience with dialysis machine setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience assessing and monitoring dialysis patients before, during, and after treatment.
• Experience accessing AV fistulas and grafts while preventing clot formation.

Required Education

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• BSN preferred.

Required Licensure & Certifications

• Active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) License .
• Current CPR (BLS) certification.
• Current ACLS certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis patient assessments.
• Deliver and supervise hemodialysis treatments.
• Provide care for:
  • In-center dialysis patients.
  • Acute dialysis patients.
  • Peritoneal dialysis patients.
• Operate and monitor dialysis equipment.
• Set treatment parameters and monitor machine readings.
• Cannulate AV fistulas and grafts safely.
• Monitor patient response and intervene appropriately during treatment.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Educate patients on dialysis care and treatment plans.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
