What You'll Do
- Provide professional nursing care for obstetric patients 20+ weeks gestation, including labor management, cesarean and vaginal deliveries
- Assist with OB emergency and triage evaluations
- Monitor postpartum surgical patients, such as tubal ligations
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols
- Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care given
- Educate patients and families about pregnancy, labor, and postpartum care
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans
- Practice independently while adhering to hospital policies and standards
What You Need
- Current RN license in Texas or a compact state
- BLS (AHA), NRP, ACLS, and NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) certifications
- Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience, preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
