Overview As a valued crew member, the Terminal Operator at our Newington, NH Terminal will work in a team environment with leadership to optimize efficiency while focusing on safety every shift. This role involves working with a variety of operations including off-loading liquid and bulk product ships/barges, conducting tank-to-tank transfers, performing preventative maintenance and upkeep of the terminal, and providing customer service. Operations are performed in a maritime environment, 24/7/365. A successful terminal operator will receive on-the-job training and be eligible for promotion opportunities based on performance. This position is on a 12-hour night shift schedule. Responsibilities Participating in oil transfers Assisting with mooring vessels Weighing trucks on industrial scales Performing safety/security rounds of facility Operation of conveyor system Assist with maintenance of grounds, buildings and/or equipment Occasional travel to other Sprague facilities out of state Other duties as required Qualifications Ability to pass a background check and obtain a TWIC card High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a general laborer Knowledge of basic math Mechanical aptitude Basic computer knowledge Must have a valid driver’s license Good verbal and written communication skills Physical activity and safety requirements Standing up to 75% of the day Lifting up to 75 lbs Carrying up to 50 lbs Pulling up to 75 lb capacity Extended climbing (tank ladders/stairs/ramps) Ability to work outdoors in a maritime environment and various shifts Ability to work in a safe manner and maintain alertness due to potential hazards Benefits Pay: $29/hour Traditional and Roth 401(k) plans with employer match Defined Contribution Plan with Sprague contribution Tuition reimbursement On-the-job training Paid Volunteer Time Health plan options 3 weeks vacation, sick pay and floating holidays Gym membership and more Equal Opportunity and Compliance Sprague is an EEO/AA employer.
