Help elementary students achieve their full potential as a Special Education Resource Teacher in a supportive school environment. In this contract opportunity, you’ll play a crucial role in providing specialized instruction and guidance to learners who require additional support. With over 35 hours per week, this role offers a chance to build meaningful connections and make a real difference in young lives.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement
- Experience working with elementary-level SPED students (Resource setting preferred)
- Strong understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for creating inclusive, encouraging learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional support to students with IEPs in a resource setting
- Adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet individual learning goals
- Conduct assessments to track progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Develop and implement individualized education plans in alignment with state and federal guidelines
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation
- Foster positive, respectful relationships with students and their families
- Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and professional development
