Human Resources Manager

The Human Resource Manager is responsible for leading the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of the company’s human resources policies, programs, and practices at a manufacturing location. This role provides strategic and day‑to‑day HR leadership to support employee relations, recruiting, compensation and benefits administration, training and development, compliance, and health and safety initiatives. The Human Resource Manager partners with leadership to promote a positive work environment, ensure legal compliance, and support organizational effectiveness within both office and manufacturing environments at Creative Liquid Coatings, Inc. Roles and Responsibilities HR Operations & Leadership Lead and manage the daily operations of the Human Resources function at a manufacturing location. Provide leadership, coaching, and development to HR staff to ensure priorities and deliverables are completed accurately and on time. Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Promote a consistent, fair, and equitable approach to employee management. Lead and coordinate recruiting efforts for hourly and salaried positions. Oversee new‑hire onboarding, orientation, and follow‑up processes. Partner with leadership to ensure staffing plans align with operational needs. Support succession planning and workforce development initiatives. Employee Relations & Performance Management Maintain effective employee relations through close collaboration with supervisors and managers. Conduct workplace investigations and support resolution of employee concerns. Support and guide disciplinary actions in compliance with company policy and employment law. Assist with performance evaluation processes and documentation. Represent the company at hearings or agency interactions when required. Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Support Manage employee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and communication. Support compensation practices and equity across the organization. Oversee time and attendance systems, including IQMS Time & Attendance. Coordinate with payroll partners to ensure accuracy and issue resolution. Compliance, Safety & Quality Support Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Lead HR support for health and safety initiatives, including workers’ compensation administration, incident reporting, and OSHA log tracking. Support IATF 16949 requirements related to training, development, and health and safety. Track and manage KPI measurables to drive improvement in turnover, training effectiveness, and safety performance. Training & Development Develop and support training and employee development initiatives. Partner with leadership to identify training needs and competency gaps. Promote continuous learning and professional development across the organization. Perform other duties as assigned to support company objectives. Skill and Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. 5–7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management or supervisory role. Minimum of 3 years of employee relations and/or labor‑relations experience. Strong knowledge of HR processes, employment law, and compliance requirements. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. High level of trustworthiness, attention to detail, and organizational ability. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with HRIS systems. Self‑motivated, proactive, and goal‑driven with a strong work ethic. Work is performed primarily in a professional office environment with frequent interaction in manufacturing areas. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and fumes when on the plant floor. Noise levels typically range from low to moderate.
