(USA) Tire and Battery Service Advisor – FT Scarborough, ME Sam's Club #8186 440 Payne Rd Scarborough, ME 04074-8928 Position Summary Full‑time Tire and Battery Service Advisor responsible for maintaining safety, managing product presentation, assisting members with tire and battery services, and driving sales and service excellence within the Tire and Battery Center (TBC). Responsibilities Maintain facility and sales floor safety by conducting regular sweeps, adhering to forklift and hazardous material procedures, and promptly reporting unsafe situations. Ensure the TBC sales floor is organized, stocked, zoned, and merchandised in accordance with company policies, including handling claims, returns, shrink, and damages. Stock and set up merchandise displays, remove damaged goods, sign and price items, and secure fragile or high‑shrink products. Monitor tire and battery orders daily, assist members with installation appointments, communicate lead‑time changes, and offer alternative options. Provide expert member service by greeting members, identifying needs, recommending appropriate tires and batteries, explaining warranties, and ensuring quality service. Promote TBC offerings across the club to increase member awareness and drive sales and service excellence. Triage and prioritize service workflow in the TBC bays, using the Sam’s Garage system to manage waiting members and maximize efficiency. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of safety, compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, TPMS, equipment operations, and in‑person selling techniques. Leverage digital tools and handheld devices to plan sales, make real‑time decisions, and encourage adoption of new technologies among team members. Act as a brand advocate, model high‑quality service, mentor team members, and help overcome roadblocks. Process member purchases, returns, refunds, and exchanges using cash registers and proper payment procedures. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, including the Open Door Policy. Complete work assignments efficiently, communicate progress, and identify improvement opportunities while adapting to change. Follow safety and security guidelines when handling TBC products, provide accurate information to members, and report any complaints or hazards. Operate TBC equipment safely and maintain required documentation.
