Job Description

Provides overall leadership and direction for the programs under Occupational Medicine, ensuring operational efficiency, high-quality service delivery, and compliance with policies and standards.

Oversees administrative, technical, and clinical workflows, ensuring effective resource utilization and integration of service functions.

Ensures full compliance with all applicable federal, VA, VHA, Joint Commission, OSHA, and facility regulations governing occupational health and safety.

Ensures compliance with ethical standards, HIPAA, cybersecurity rules, conflict of interest policies, and equal employment opportunity principles.

Manages service staffing, equipment, space allocation, and budget planning to meet short- and long-term operational needs.

Collaborates with other Service Chiefs and program managers to coordinate programs and services provided by Occupational Medicine.

Oversees clinical functions including employee medical evaluations, surveillance programs, and consultative services.

Provides oversight related to medication administration and clinical procedures performed by Occupational Medicine staff.
