NO C2C OR 1099 APPLICANTS WILL BE CONSIDERED **** Our Client is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and support their Oracle, SQL Server, and Cloud database environments (Snowflake/Azure). This role is responsible for database performance, security, maintenance, disaster recovery, and operational excellence across enterprise systems. The position includes participation in an on-call rotation and after-hours/weekend support to ensure continuous coverage. Key Responsibilities: Administer and support Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, and Azure database environments. Maintain and optimize database performance, availability, security, and reliability. Develop, support, and tune SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database maintenance tasks. Collaborate with BI and development teams on database design and query optimization. Implement database patches, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery plans. Manage database security, user access, SOX documentation, and compliance requirements. Troubleshoot performance issues and conduct index, memory, CPU, and storage analysis. Support database replication, clustering, and Change Data Capture (CDC) technologies. Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and licensing inventories. Assist with remote database connectivity, infrastructure projects, and technology evaluations. Qualifications: 7-10 years of database administration experience. Strong expertise in Oracle and SQL Server databases. Experience with cloud database platforms such as Snowflake and Azure. Knowledge of database security, backup/recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery. Experience with database performance tuning, replication, clustering, and CDC. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience with Azure cloud solutions - preferred. Exposure to enterprise infrastructure and global IT environments - preferred. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winston-Salem, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $47.86 - $63.24/hr.
