Systems Support Specialist

About the Role This is a part‑time position for an Operating Room Support Specialist working with our Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS) Therapy System for patients with drug‑resistant epilepsy and difficult‑to‑treat depression. The role involves surgical case coverage in the OR during implantation, providing intraoperative support, diagnostics, troubleshooting and programming assistance to neurosurgeons, epileptologists and nurses. Responsibilities Participate in surgical case coverage in the operating room during VNS Therapy System implantation. Support OR staff with product‑related matters, including VNS diagnostics, troubleshooting, and programming assistance. Undergo training on the VNS system at the Houston corporate office and receive procedural training as required. Travel to hospital facilities regularly, with limited overnight stays occasionally. Maintain compliance with hospital credentialing, access requirements and required immunizations for healthcare employment. Qualifications BS/BA degree or experience in a clinical technical/operating room environment. Ability to project a positive image and communicate effectively in the operating room. Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office software. Exceptional written, verbal and nonverbal communication skills. Maintain all required immunizations for healthcare employment.
