Distinguished Technology Strategist, Emerging Tech

Identify and assess emerging technologies, trends, and market signals that could influence AVEVA's long-term product and platform strategy Translate technical exploration into business-relevant insights, strategic recommendations, and investment priorities Partner with Fellows, product leaders, and R&D teams to align technology trends with AVEVA's innovation roadmap Develop technology points of view, frameworks, and playbooks for leveraging new technologies Communicate findings across the organization to enable informed decision-making and cross-functional alignment Report directly to the VP & Fellow for Emerging Tech Trends & Priorities Shape AVEVA's product strategy, architecture, customer value, long-term investments, and innovation direction Requirements 10+ years of experience in technology strategy, emerging technology research, innovation scouting, or a similar technical leadership role Strong understanding of AI/ML, industrial IoT, cloud data platforms, edge architectures, and open-source ecosystems Proven ability to analyze and synthesize complex technical topics into clear, actionable guidance Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across product, engineering, and research organizations Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and executive audiences Curiosity and passion for exploring new technologies, frameworks, and market shifts Ability to imagine bold future possibilities and articulate a vision for long-term technology evolution Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a track record of driving decisions and shaping direction Collaborative, transparent, and confident communication style Experience developing technology POVs, roadmaps, or strategic frameworks Successful applicants must pass drug screening and a comprehensive background check Successful applicants must provide proof of work authorization as applicable under local law Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in technology strategy and emerging technology research, with a strong focus on AI/ML, industrial IoT, and cloud data platforms.
