Digital Marketing & Fundraising Specialist

The Cure Starts Now is seeking a full-time, in-office Digital Marketing & Fundraising Specialist to help drive donations in support of our mission to find the Homerun Cure™ for all cancers for our Cincinnati World Headquarters.

This role will help execute fundraising campaigns across email, paid ads, organic social, and digital content. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, creative thinker, and organized executor who understands that great marketing should do more than look good. It should move people to act.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Write action-focused copy for fundraising emails, ads, social posts, landing pages, campaign materials, and donor communications.
• Work with the Director of Marketing to assist and execute digital fundraising campaign strategies.
• Develop ad copy and creative concepts for Facebook, Instagram, and other digital campaigns.
• Create organic social content, including posts, Reels, and carousels, to support our fundraising efforts and chapter events.
• Stay up to date on digital marketing, fundraising, and social media trends to bring new ideas to the team.
• Turn campaign goals, family stories, and research updates into clear donor-facing messages.
• Help keep marketing projects organized, on deadline, and aligned with The Cure Starts Now brand and mission.
• Create and update website pages for fundraising campaigns, events, chapter efforts, and other marketing initiatives.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, English, digital media, or a related field preferred.
• Strong copywriting skills, especially for persuasive, donor-focused, or action-oriented communications.
• Experience creating social media content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Canva, Adobe or similar design tools.
• Basic understanding of email marketing and social media.
• Strong attention to detail, copy editing, and proofreading skills.
• Willingness to learn new tools, platforms, and digital marketing strategies.
• Writing samples required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Meta Ads Manager or Meta Business Suite.
• Experience with Mailchimp, HubSpot, Constant Contact, or similar email platforms.
• Experience with nonprofit fundraising or donor engagement.
• Experience creating or editing short-form video.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana

Job Type: Full-time, in person

Hourly: $17–$23 an hour based on experience

Schedule: 40 hours per week

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to travel overnight and possible weekends for events, family stories, or campaign needs approximately monthly or every other month.
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds above the waist.
• Clean background check and MVR required.
