Project Engineer – Heavy Civil Construction

Location: Chagrin Falls, OH
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $75,000–$80,000 annually

ParkerBeth Search Partners is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join a growing heavy civil construction company in Chagrin Falls, OH . This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in construction project management while gaining hands-on experience working alongside experienced Project Managers, Superintendents, and project teams.

What You’ll Do

• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of heavy civil construction projects from start to finish.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and project teams to keep projects on schedule and aligned with project goals.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and help coordinate solutions.
• Communicate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including scope changes, project updates, and client instructions.
• Track project costs, support billing activities, and help identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support procurement activities, including subcontract creation and vendor coordination.
• Help maintain project schedules and coordinate work with Project Superintendents.
• Support change orders and other project scope modifications.
• Assist with project closeout, including documentation and financial reconciliation.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong interest in construction project management and career development.
• Motivated, dependable, and eager to learn and take on increasing responsibility.
• Ability to work full-time from the Chagrin Falls, OH office .
