Help Desk Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a Help Desk Specialist to join our team at Amend Treatment a residential mental health treatment organization located in Malibu California. As a Help Desk Specialist you will play a crucial role in providing technical support to our staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide first-line support to staff on IT-related issues and incidents
Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and escalate as needed
Install configure and maintain computer systems and applications
Assist in the setup and maintenance of network equipment
Create and update documentation for IT procedures and user guides
Monitor IT systems to ensure functionality and performance
Collaborate with IT team members to implement solutions and improvements
Ensure compliance with security protocols and data protection policies

Essential Qualifications:

Associate degree in IT or related field
Proven experience in providing technical support in a help desk or IT support role
Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good understanding of network protocols and configurations
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users

Desired Experience:

2 years of experience in a help desk or technical support role
Certifications such as CompTIA A or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
