Assistant General Manager

Position Overview This position serves as the assistant to the General Manager, overseeing day‑to‑day hotel operations, maintaining revenue, cost, and quality standards, and supporting the hotel’s financial and operational plans. Responsibilities Generate projected revenue levels through proper supervision of assigned departments and ensure guest satisfaction. Participate in the development of short‑term and long‑term financial and operational plans for the hotel. Remain current on business trends and local activities. Meet assigned departmental budgets and monitor financial statements. Establish and maintain appropriate community involvement. Handle guest complaints effectively. Assist in developing programs that increase guest satisfaction and operational excellence. Know and comply with all company policies and procedures. Cross‑sell other Shamin Hotels to hotel staff. Teach, mentor, and direct hotel staff. Maintain a high level of visibility and leadership within the hotel and community. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and/or extensive experience in a hotel or related field. 1–2 years of hotel experience preferred. Strong financial knowledge and ability to work with financial information. Basic mathematical skills. Reading, writing, and basic math competency. Computer skills. Knowledge of brand systems.
