Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Full-time Forklift Technician, you will repair and maintain powered industrial vehicles on site. You will also assist the maintenance crew with preventative and reactive maintenance functions. The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing various makes of forklift and other Power Industrial Vehicles (PIVs)
• Performing all assigned planned maintenance on PIVs
• Maintaining spare parts inventory
• Maintaining accurate service records through a work order system
• Supporting, promoting and leading safety initiatives, policies and procedures
• Maintain the cleanliness/organization of work area
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
• Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
