Custodian I

Responsible for the cleanliness of the vessel and pavilion areas.

Tasks include sweeping, mopping, polishing, cleaning, scrubbing, dusting, vacuuming, and collecting trash. Operates cleaning equipment such as extractors, stripping/buffing machines, backpack vacuums, walk-behind vacuums, and traditional vacuum cleaners. Uses a variety of cleaning chemicals. Climbs and works from a ten-foot ladder. Engages in extensive walking during working hours. Pulls large amounts of trash from garbage cans and empties mobile trash carts. Cleans and disinfects restrooms and fixtures; keeps restrooms supplied with towels, soap, and other supplies as needed. Washes walls, doors, windows, mirrors, and equipment. Performs all relative miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor/manager.

Qualifications include the ability to lift 25 lbs, understanding the importance of customer service, and operating the listed equipment.
