Full-Time CookLine Cook/ Assistant The Gables of Fitchburg Assisted Living Pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour (based on experience) The Gables of Fitchburg is seeking a passionate and dependable Line Chef to join our culinary team. We are building a restaurant-quality dining program within our assisted living community and are looking for individuals who take pride in preparing fresh, high-quality meals while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. Our kitchen provides service from 6:30 a.m. through 7:00 p.m. with a variety of scheduled shifts available, offering opportunities for both full-time and part-time employment. What We're Looking For Minimum of 1 year of professional line cooking or kitchen experience A genuine passion for food and quality presentation A positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a professional culinary team Dependable, punctual, and committed to excellence A strong understanding of kitchen sanitation, food safety, and cleanliness Appreciation for maintaining a clean, organized, and professional kitchen at all times Professional Development We are looking for individuals who want to build a career in the culinary profession. Candidates should have the desire and willingness to obtain ServSafe® Food Handler and ServSafe® Manager certifications, along with any other certifications that will help advance their culinary knowledge and career. Qualifications: Proven cooking experience, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living setting Knowledge of food safety standards and protocols (ServSafe certification preferred) Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary restrictions and resident preferences Strong organizational and multitasking skills Positive attitude and teamwork skills Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
