Vermont Home Center is looking for a dependable and skilled Lead Delivery Driver to join our team in Waterbury, VT. This is a hands-on role where you'll be the face of our company — delivering and installing products directly into customers' homes with professionalism and care. If you take pride in your work and love being on the move, this is the opportunity for you. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport and deliver home products to residential and commercial customers
- Perform professional installation of delivered products in customers' homes
- Lead and coordinate with delivery team members to ensure efficient, on-time deliveries
- Inspect products before and after transport to ensure damage-free delivery
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding delivery windows, installation processes, and product use
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly loaded delivery vehicle
- Complete delivery documentation, logs, and route sheets accurately
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Prior experience in delivery driving, product installation, or a related trade
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (50+ lbs) and perform physical labor throughout the day
- Strong customer service skills and a professional, friendly demeanor
- Experience leading or working with a small team preferred
- Basic mechanical or installation aptitude with hand and power tools
- Highly reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
