Must-Have:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience or 1 year of Med/Surg/Tele experience or 2 years of Emergency Department experience, with triage experience required.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred.
• Epic experience required.
• Every other weekend and every other holiday commitment.

Description:

This is a float position requiring competency in at least two of the following areas:

• ICU - minimum of 2 years experience required.
• Med/Surg/Tele - minimum of 1 year experience required.
• Emergency Department - minimum of 2 years experience required.

The role involves providing bedside patient care. The average daily census in the ICU is 81 patients, with a staffing ratio of 1:2 for ICU and 1:3 for intermediate care. The Med/Surg/Tele unit has an average daily census of 17-22 patients, with a 1:5 patient ratio and additional support from a lightly assigned Charge Nurse. The Emergency Department has an average daily census of 70-100 patients, with a staffing ratio of 1:4 and additional support from nursing assistants and an unassigned Charge Nurse. Candidates must possess the required certifications and experience to ensure high-quality patient care in a float role across various units.
