Description

• Conduct evaluations for a diverse array of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing both standardized assessments and insightful observations.
• Create individualized treatment plans with a focus on both immediate goals and broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
• Provide dedicated speech therapy sessions emphasizing aspects such as language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing techniques.
• Engage collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop harmonious care strategies.
• Deliver informative education to patients and their families to nurture continuity of progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Participate in inpatient therapy evaluations as needed to ensure a seamless continuum of care throughout the recovery journey.
• Maintain comprehensive and punctual documentation compliant with all pertinent state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Commit to continuous learning by staying abreast of innovations in the field through education and collaborative engagement.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if the candidate has not yet achieved ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred possession of the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification should be obtained within 30 days of hire.
