Speech Pathologist

Speech Pathologist Requirements:

• Degree in speech-language pathology
• Valid New York State licensure
• BLS certification required

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assess and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
• Plan and participate in rehabilitative programs and recommend services
• Perform special education assessments and present findings
• Recommend and teach alternative/augmentative communication systems
• Conduct and present research related to speech/language issues

Compliance / Notes:

• Employment is contingent on selection, background check, and fingerprinting
• COVID-19 vaccine required (with medical exemptions only)
• Returning staff must have been gone for 2 years from any facility in the state
• RTO must be presented at the time of submittal
