Medical Affairs Lead, DACH

Overview Medical Affairs Lead – DACH Insulet’s Medical Affairs Lead is responsible for shaping and delivering the DACH medical strategy, driving education, evidence generation, and engagement with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders in the diabetes space. The role leads cross‑functional collaboration to support product launches, market access, and adoption of Insulet’s solutions. As part of the regional leadership team, the Lead manages a team, aligns with global and local objectives, and ensures execution of the medical plans across Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Responsibilities Supervise country Medical Affairs staff and oversee medical objectives for the region. Develop and lead the execution of the Medical Affairs strategy at a country level through cross‑functional collaboration and influence. Lead local medical education plans, including online and in‑person blended offerings, congress and symposium support, and product training. Inform and strategize evidence generation plans to support market access, regulatory, and marketing needs. Support the execution of Insulet‑sponsored and investigator‑initiated trials. Disseminate evidence, engage HCPs, and maintain credible peer‑to‑peer scientific relationships with KOLs. Build confidence and advocacy among key external influencers. Translate clinical data into scientifically sound insights and claims. Review and approve externally‑facing scientific and medical content. Assist with sales events, pump clinics, support groups, and educational events. Perform other duties as required to ensure successful execution of medical strategies. Qualifications MD, PharmD, PhD, or MS in life science or equivalent. 8+ years of Medical Affairs experience in diabetes within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry. In‑depth understanding of the diabetes disease state, treatment landscape, and ongoing clinical trials. Strong scientific acumen, strategic thinking, and execution skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Broad understanding of the international commercial and regulatory environment for medical devices.
