Role Overview
As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be a key player in managing a variety of complex tax engagements, helping to drive strategic decisions, and providing top-tier service to clients. You’ll work on intricate partnership taxation and high-net-worth individuals, providing mentorship to junior staff and offering tax consulting that makes a tangible difference.
What You’ll Do
- Review and prepare complex federal and state tax returns, focusing on partnership taxation.
- Provide expert advice on tax strategies, tax planning, and compliance issues to help clients achieve their goals.
- Conduct in-depth research on complex tax matters and create actionable recommendations.
- Represent clients in interactions with the IRS and other tax authorities.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with clients, offering proactive guidance and business insights.
- Mentor and support the growth of junior staff members, fostering their professional development.
- Contribute to the firm’s business development efforts and marketing initiatives.
What You Bring to the Table
- CPA license (required).
- At least 9 years of recent public accounting experience (experience in small to mid-sized firms preferred).
- Deep technical expertise in partnership taxation and high-net-worth individuals.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (experience with CCH Access is a plus).
- Experience with international tax issues is a plus, but not required.
