Designer - Girls Fashion Apparel Sportswear

Established midtown Girl’s sportswear company is looking for a designer to design, research, sketch, assemble presentation boards, create tech packs, and handle production processes for our infant to size 16 in‑house label. The successful candidate should be able to design all categories in sportswear including denim, pants, skorts, shorts, sweaters, tops, multipacks, as well as casual dresses and sets. Keeping up to date and doing market research with latest trends is a must. Responsibilities Design all categories in sportswear including denim, pants, skorts, shorts, sweaters, tops, multipacks, casual dresses, and sets. Design, research, sketch, assemble presentation boards, create tech packs, and handle production processes for our infant to size 16 in‑house label. Sketch CADs in Illustrator and fill sketches with prints and solids. Create development tech packs. Handle multiple styles in production and follow through from first prototype to final TOP sample. Create and maintain all line sheets and development tracking charts. Research trends under the design direction and assist in creation of all design materials and mood boards for presentations. Good knowledge of garment construction. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment. Knowledge of wide assortment of fabrications is a plus. Knowledge of girl’s infant to size 16 specifications. Qualifications 3 years of experience required. Highly skilled in Adobe Suite (Illustrator & Photoshop) and Microsoft Excel to ensure multiple projects are completed in provided deadlines. Strongly skilled and knowledgeable with print artwork; able to create intricate repeating print artwork in Illustrator. Strong communication and organizational skills. Good knowledge of garment construction. Knowledge of a wide assortment of fabrications is a plus. Experience with girl’s infant to 16 specifications.
