Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting daily production operations. In this hands-on position, you'll perform cycle counts, manage inventory data, verify materials, and ensure the right products are available when needed. This role also offers a clear path for growth, with opportunities to develop into a leadership position within the inventory department.

What You'll Do

• Perform daily cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.

• Report inventory discrepancies and findings to the Inventory Manager.

• Maintain and update inventory records using Excel and inventory management systems.

• Utilize RF scanners, hand carts, bins, and manual/automatic pallet jacks to move and track materials.

• Generate and print pick lists using computer systems.

• Verify part numbers, quantities, locations, and work orders to ensure accurate material distribution.

• Retrieve materials from various warehouse locations, including stair-access storage areas.

• Support production by ensuring materials are delivered accurately and on time.

• Lead by example through strong work ethic, accountability, and attention to detail.

• Develop your leadership skills with the opportunity to grow into an Inventory Department Lead role.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of inventory control or inventory management experience.

• Warehouse experience.

• Experience using Excel and inventory management software.

• Ability to accurately verify inventory, part numbers, quantities, and locations.

• Experience with RF scanners and order picking processes.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous leadership or lead experience.

• Knowledge of inventory accuracy best practices and cycle counting procedures.

Schedule & Work Environment

Shift: 1st Shift

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

This position is based in a fast-paced warehouse environment and requires regular movement throughout the facility, including material handling and accessing inventory stored in different locations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shakopee, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
