The Role
- Full-time, hospital-based, working manager role based in Redford, MI
- Lead, coach, and develop associate veterinarians; cultivate an inclusive, collaborative culture across assigned local hospitals
- Split time between clinical duties and leadership responsibilities based on hospital needs
- Deliver and uphold high standards of medical quality, safety, timeliness, and client-centered care
- Review medical records, perform quality audits, and guide continuous improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Ensure regulatory compliance, including oversight of controlled substances and Responsible Veterinarian duties where required
- Partner with practice managers to optimize workflows, staffing, and medical equipment needs; drive clinical outcomes and operational goals
- Oversee onboarding and coaching for newly hired veterinarians; support student externs and candidates during hospital visits
- Strengthen client experience, address concerns related to medical care, and support access-first scheduling models, including drop-off appointments
- Perform general practice medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry supported by in-house diagnostics and imaging
- Typical daytime schedule aligned with clinic hours, including a shared weekend rotation

Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an accredited institution
- Active Michigan veterinary license (or ability to obtain promptly)
- DEA registration (or eligibility)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Proven clinical experience in small animal general practice; prior leadership, mentorship, or multi-site oversight experience preferred
- Proficiency with routine surgery and dentistry
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; comfort in a high-volume, team-based environment
- Commitment to evidence-based medicine and exceptional client service
