Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Whitehall that are seeking Design Engineers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Designs and develops manufacturing fixtures, tools, and equipment.
• Creates detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for fabrication and assembly.
• Conducts design reviews and implements feedback from cross-functional teams.
• Performs engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs.
• Collaborates with production to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost.
• Troubleshoots design-related issues during prototyping and production.
• Manages engineering change orders and maintains design documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in product design within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
• Demonstrated experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, machining).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with DFM/DFA principles.
• Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automation or data analysis.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic FEA simulations.
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems beyond standard CAD integration.
