Senior Software Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale software platforms, systems, and services.
• Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and upgrade backend services and systems.
• Gather user requirements and write code in various programming languages.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from system analysis through testing and deployment.
• Integrate software components into fully functional systems.
• Develop operational tools to automate general operations processes.
• Document and maintain software functionality.
• Collaborate with product managers to design and implement application features.
• Mentor junior software engineers and interns.

Requirements

• A master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field plus two years of related work experience; or a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in one of these fields plus five years of progressive post-bachelor's related experience.
• At least two years of experience designing and architecting large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed applications, tools, systems, and services using object-oriented design and distributed programming.
• At least two years of experience designing scalable, highly available software systems for cloud environments.
• At least two years of experience gathering business requirements, translating them into technical requirements, and using agile methodology throughout the software development lifecycle.
• At least two years of programming experience with SQL, Python, Go, C++, and/or Java.
• At least two years of experience developing code and identifying issues in a Linux environment.
• At least two years of experience across the software development lifecycle for backend or cloud-native projects, including design, development, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
