Contract | Days | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Float between Med/Onc, two surgical units, and two medical units within a large, 128-bed Med/Surg department
• Provide total patient care in a setting without PCAs, managing a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for patients with surgical diagnoses including colorectal, hepatobiliary, bariatric, general, and orthopedic cases, as well as medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, COPD, and kidney and GI conditions
• Perform occasional cardiac strip reading as needed; remote telemonitoring is in place
• Float to any Med/Surg pod based on staffing needs as assigned
• Document patient care using current EMR system; facility is transitioning to Epic in November 2026

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current BLS certification required
• Relevant and current Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Prior experience in a large hospital setting required
• Previous travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with oncology patient populations
• Familiarity with remote telemonitoring and occasional strip reading
• Comfort with floating across multiple Med/Surg units or pods
