Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you will work directly with neuro-diverse children in community settings, implementing behavior intervention plans designed to improve their social and communication skills. As an RBT, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients in achieving their goals through applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and support. Hours of work would generally be during school hours (between 9am-3pm), Monday-Friday. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Assist clients in developing essential skills through structured behavioral therapy sessions. Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors to inform treatment adjustments. Collaborate with families and caregivers to provide support and guidance on care plans. Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively. Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, including notes on client responses and progress. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral health practices. Qualifications Experience or training in applied behavior analysis is preferred. Background in working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special education is highly desirable. Knowledge of behavior management strategies and techniques is essential. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to assist clients empathetically and effectively. Ability to collect data accurately and analyze behavioral patterns for effective intervention planning. Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician is required.
