HR Operations Specialist

Position Summary The HR Ops Specialist supports day-to-day administration and continuous improvement of HR processes, systems, and programs across the employee lifecycle. This role is responsible for ensuring data integrity within the HRIS, executing key HR transactions, maintaining personnel records, supporting compliance initiatives, and providing exceptional service to employees and leaders. The HR Ops Specialist partners closely with Payroll, Total Rewards, Finance, and CTS (IT) to drive efficient, consistent, and compliant HR operations that enhance the employee experience. Responsibilities Maintain and audit employee data in the HRIS to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance Process employee lifecycle transactions including hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, and compensation changes Support system updates, testing, and troubleshooting Generate and analyze HR reports and dashboards to support business and compliance needs Serve as primary contact for HR-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses to procedures and programs Partner with Payroll, Total Rewards, and Talent team to ensure seamless coordination of employee changes and issue resolution Maintain digital and physical personnel files in compliance with company policy and legal requirements Support audits, compliance reviews, and data requests Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate manual processes, and enhance system utilization Participate in or lead HR operational projects such as process standardization and documentation, system implementations, etc. Assist with HR metrics, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field 3-5 years of experience in HR operations, HR administration, or related HR support role Experience working with HRIS platforms (Workday, UKG, SAP SuccessFactors) Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other productivity tools Skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Excellent organizational time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Solid understanding of HR processes, employment laws, and compliance standards Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other productivity tools Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity Compensation Annual Salary Range: $65K-$85K (determination of salary is based on experience level) Benefits We’re Proud To Offer One Of The Most Competitive Total Rewards Packages In The Nonprofit And Benefits Administration Sectors, Including: 100% company-paid family insurance benefits including health, dental, RX & vision (comprehensive coverage with low deductibles) 100% company-funded pension plan (at no cost to the employee) Health care and dependent care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) 401(k) retirement plan with company match Paid vacation and PTO days Flexible start times & hybrid work-from-home schedule Lunch stipend for onsite café Tuition reimbursement Please note that, though uncommon, the benefits described above are subject to change at the company’s discretion.
