Controller

A global organization is seeking an Assistant Controller / Controller to join its finance leadership team. This is a highly visible role that will partner closely with senior finance leadership and play a key role in strengthening accounting operations, enhancing financial controls, and supporting ongoing business transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strong technical accounting expertise, operational finance experience, and leadership capabilities within a complex, multi-entity environment. Key Responsibilities Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting processes Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal control requirements Partner with finance leadership to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities as needed Manage and mentor accounting team members while helping develop a high-performance finance organization Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit activities Assist with implementation of process improvements, automation initiatives, and finance transformation projects Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across operations, FP&A, tax, and treasury Support integration, restructuring, and organizational change initiatives as the business continues to evolve Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA strongly preferred 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience Prior experience as an Assistant Controller, Controller, or similar leadership role Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting Experience operating within a multi-entity, manufacturing, industrial, construction, engineering, energy, or asset-intensive environment preferred Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams Strong systems aptitude and experience working with different ERP platforms Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving organization Preferred Experience Public accounting foundation (Big 4 or large regional firm preferred) Cost accounting exposure Global finance operations experience Why Join?
