This is a night and day shift position, requiring 4x12-hour shifts. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergency department. A current NY nursing license is required. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS are mandatory. Charge experience is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates should have experience using the Epic charting system. This role involves providing care for patients with a variety of acute and chronic conditions. Work will include managing patient triage, performing assessments, and delivering emergency care. The department serves patients of all ages, including infants, children, adults, and geriatrics. Teamwork and collaboration with various healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists and social workers, are essential. The environment is fast-paced and may require handling multiple patients simultaneously.
