Certified Veterinary Technician

Chase Farm Veterinary Hospital is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to our team. At our Rarebreed clinic, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. Chase Farm Veterinary Hospital is a busy, modern, progressive, and fully equipped hospital that utilizes both Eastern and Western medicine. The staff likes to work hard and have fun with patient care, the client experience, and employee success being the top priorities! Veterinary Technician Chase Farm Veterinary Hospital in North Dartmouth, MA Salary: $17.00 - $21.00 an hour (based on experience) Weekend shifts are part of the opening we have and typically are every other Saturday with a rotating 1-2-hour Sunday shift approximately every 1-2 months. Our staff schedules are usually 5 days/week with the occasional 4-day work week, and these shifts include morning, afternoon, and evening shifts.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas Prepare estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients Explain necessary follow-up and home care instructions Stock clinic treatment area and exam rooms, and inform inventory manager when supplies need to be ordered Assist the Veterinarian in office visits, medical, surgical, and dental procedures (be comfortable with blood draws; prepare patients for surgery; administer anesthesia; monitor patients during surgery and recovery; administer fluids and treatments) Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery Run lab work and take digital radiographs

REQUIREMENTS
