Registered Nurse (PRN)

Griswold Home Care is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Northern Virginia team in a highly flexible PRN role. This is a great opportunity for an RN who enjoys working independently and wants to use their clinical experience in a meaningful way without committing to a traditional full-time nursing schedule. The role focuses primarily on client assessments, developing and updating Plans of Care, documentation, and clinical oversight for our non-medical home care clients. What you’ll do: * Conduct initial client assessments and periodic reassessments * Develop and update care plans as needed * Provide clinical oversight consistent with Virginia home care requirements * Support caregiver competency and training needs * Review changes in client condition and provide guidance when appropriate * Complete required documentation and records * Serve as a clinical resource to our office team What we’re looking for: * Current, unrestricted Virginia RN license * Home care, home health, geriatric, senior care, or related experience preferred * Strong assessment and documentation skills * Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule * Reliable, responsive, and well organized * Comfortable communicating with clients, families, caregivers, and office staff Is this role a good fit for you? * Schedule flexibility — weekday and/or weekend based on your preference * No traditional hospital shifts * Significant autonomy * Opportunity to make a meaningful impact with an established home care agency If you’re an experienced RN looking for flexible, part-time work that allows you to stay engaged professionally without taking on a full clinical schedule, we’d love to hear from you.
