Sinai Residences seeks two part-time weekend Emergency Medical Responders – two shifts.

Part-Time Day Position: Saturday and Sunday, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

Part-Time Overnight Position: Saturday and Sunday, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Pay: $25.00 per hour (weekend differentials included)

We need you to join our team as an Emergency Medical Responder.

Sinai Residences is seeking a service driven, professional EMR who is responsible for servicing this community.

Emergency Response:

• Using a limited amount of equipment, the EMR will render emergency medical care based on assessment findings. Care may include:
• Opening and maintaining an airway
• Ventilating patients
• Administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Administering oxygen
• Providing emergency medical care of simple and multiple system trauma such as:
• Controlling hemorrhage
• Bandaging wounds
• Manually stabilizing injured extremities
• Addressing general medical complaints, altered mental status, seizures, environmental emergencies, behavioral emergencies and psychological crises.
• Prior to rendering patient care, identify the mechanism of injury or nature of illness, the total number of patients and requests additional help, if necessary.
• Determine when additional support is needed and act accordingly. This includes:
• Conduct post-call activities.
• Function within the scope of care as defined by state, regional and local regulatory agencies;
• Comply with regulations on the handling of the deceased, protection of property and evidence at the scene, while awaiting additional EMS resources.

Qualifications:

• Driver's License
• Must hold an active EMT/EMR or Paramedic certification
• Ability to function in uncommon situations while remaining calm;
• Able to apply basic knowledge of stress response and methods to ensure personal well‐being;
• Ability to apply principles of body substance isolation;
• Ability to apply basic medical‐legal principles as they pertain the to the EMR role;
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work well with many people and adapt to diverse situations
• Ability to maintain a professional work environment
• Minimum of 6 months experience

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, and squatting; must be able to stoop, bend, stretch, squat, and stand. Please note: A Level II background check is required for all positions at Sinai Residences. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of this screening.
