Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Discipline organization is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, system sustainment, System Security Engineering (SSE), integration and system level testing, identifying and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues, and developing automated or operator-driven tests in support of system-level integration, verification, validation and sustainment.As a Section Leader, you will be expected to actively participate in department goals and initiatives, support department hiring, support program staffing, provide employee feedback and mentoring, and be actively involved in daily program operations. This position provides an opportunity to grow your skillset by contributing to the development of our workforce and creating and fostering an inclusive environment.This position is based out of Tewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MAWhat You Will Do:Lead a team of engineersEstablish meaningful and measurable goals and communicate effectively with the teamOversee the direct line management activities for the section including communication, performance management, career development, and talent acquisitionSupport department and directorate level initiativesEnsure employee compliance with company policies and proceduresOversight of personnel issue resolutionTimecard approvalsAdhere to and ensure alignment to Raytheon Technologies Values and BehaviorsWork as a technical lead or individual contributor; Section Leader duties account for approximately 10% of the employee’s time.Qualification You Must Have:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.Experience with the Performance Development processExperience working in a matrix environmentQualifications We Prefer:Experience of effectively managing a team over a wide geographical areaExperience with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar budget tracking systemExperience with Raytheon’s Proposal Capture Process (development of Basis of Estimates, etc)Experience with the Estimate at Complete (EAC) processExperience in implementing business and program improvements through process improvement methodologiesApplicable Master’s DegreeWhat We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
