Title: Supervisor- Environmental Services; Days Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER, Cleveland, OH Biweekly Hours: 80.00 Shift: 7a-3:30pm; Rotating Weekends and Holidays Summary: Supervises the efficient and effective operation of assigned area(s). Supervises the work of assigned Environmental Services staff. Ensures the execution of appropriate environmental services in assigned area(s). Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System. Responsibilities Supervise the operation of assigned area(s). Oversee the work of Environmental Services staff. Ensure execution of appropriate environmental services. Uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards. Qualifications Required: HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. 2 years of experience in hospital-based housekeeping. 2 years of experience as a Supervisor in any field. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Preferred: Associate’s Degree in Business or other related field from an accredited institution. Experience as a Supervisor of hospital-based housekeeping. 3 years of experience supervising hotel or hospital housekeepers. 2 years of experience in the operation/care of floor care equipment (e.g., high-speed buffer, auto-scrubber, rotary scrubber, wet/dry suction equipment, steamer etc.). Physical Requirements May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents. Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products.
