As a Full-Stack Software Engineer (Level 3 or 4) located in Aurora, CO or Manhattan Beach, CA, you\u2019ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. \n\nThe Western Region Software Engineering organization comprises over 600 highly skilled professionals (for Manhattan Beach, CA) and Central Region Software Engineering organization comprises over 200 highly skilled professionals (for Aurora, CO), including Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Database Administrators, Systems Administrators, and Network Engineers, at all levels\u2014ranging from early-career engineers to senior chief engineers and architects. The team is composed of software developers organized into Agile Scrum teams led by Product Owners and Scrum Masters. The selected candidate will be joining an NG team of approximately 35 people that is primarily staffed at NG\u2019s facilities in Aurora, CO and Manhattan Beach, CA. The selected candidate will need to work in-person from either our Aurora, CO or Manhattan Beach, CA locations. The NG program is part of a larger customer program with other companies involved. \n\n\nThe selected candidate will be responsible for identifying and proposing improvement ideas related to technology, processes, architecture, or tooling. Ideal candidates are fast learners who can quickly familiarize themselves with existing codebases. Additionally, as a Full-Stack Software Engineer the candidate will provide support for integration, testing, deployment, and operations and maintenance (O\u0026M) defect resolution in a secure facility on a part-time basis. This ensures that all team members gain insight into the entire software lifecycle and develop a deep understanding of the full program mission. The candidate will primarily develop in Java and should consider themselves strong in this language. Primary software baselines are unclassified and can be worked outside of our secure facilities. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.\n * Level 4: Bachelor\u2019s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) discipline with 8+ years of software development experience; Master\u0027s degree in a STEM discipline with 6+ years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.\n * Active Top Secret clearance required at the time of application, with the ability and willingness to obtain then maintain an SCI access.\n * Ability to obtain a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly), and program special access after starting work.\n * Primary experience developing applications in Java\n * Experience developing applications in a containerized architecture using Docker and Kubernetes\n * Experience developing applications on a Linux/Unix operating system\n * Experience developing applications using Agile principles, processes, and tools\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications (for both levels)\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering\n * Active SCI clearance at the time of application\n * Prior completed Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly)\n * At least 3 years of experience developing object-oriented applications in Java\n * At least 3 years of experience developing applications on Linux/Unix operating systems including proficiency with OS commands and shell scripting\n * At least 1 year of experience developing in environment using Docker and Kubernetes\n * Experience with the Confluent Platform or other similar data streaming tools\n * Experience with Kafka\n * Experience within the US Space Industry\n * Experience effectively communicating and presenting technical concepts to program management and customers\n * Experience writing clear, detailed, and effective technical documentation\n * Experience sharing knowledge, providing mentorship, and working in a collaborative team environment\n * Experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed software systems\n * Active Security+ certification (or equivalent)\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
