Job Description
Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Schedule: Days 5x8

Assignment Details:

Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or CFY status with supervision
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric setting preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and physician orders
- Provide direct therapy services targeting communication skills, cognitive-linguistic functioning, and safe swallowing
- Perform and interpret swallow assessments and make diet modification recommendations
- Document all evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with state, federal, and facility guidelines
- Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy plans, communication strategies, and safe swallowing techniques
