Strategic Account Rental Coordinator

Overview Holt of California is proud to be part of the elite group of Caterpillar dealers worldwide. We sell, rent, and service a wide variety of equipment including large and small construction tractors, forklifts, and prime/stand‑by power generation. This position is located in Elk Grove, CA. Responsibilities Take calls and requests for rental equipment on behalf of designated accounts. Coordinate and track daily pickups and returns for designated accounts, scheduling loop deliveries with dispatch. Run reservation, delinquent and other reports to monitor account availability and facilitate smooth operations. Coordinate with branch staff, dispatch, and outside sales representatives to ensure customer satisfaction. Ensure timely charge‑back of rental fleet recovery charges and tire repairs for designated accounts. Use all software pertaining to rental operations (Telogis, Vision Link, Texada, I Rental, Outlook, Inspct, Solartrak, etc.) and MS Office Suite. Grow existing rental business by establishing strong relations with the customer base. Use job‑site forms and/or customer processes to accurately complete rental agreements. Ensure all contracts are executed completely and accurately. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Accountable – accepts responsibility and accounts for actions. Experience and Education Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or one to two years of construction equipment sales and rental experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 1–3 years of relevant work experience and/or training and education are preferred. Skills & Abilities Read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals. Present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, or customers. Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, and volume. Multi‑task effectively. Solve practical problems in varied situations with limited standardization. Interpret a variety of instructions, written, oral, diagram, or schedule format. Develop business relationships to generate rental agreements. Work in an office environment daily. Patience, adaptability, and strong relationship building. Certifications & Licenses Valid California driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record. Physical Demands Regularly required to sit and talk or hear; frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities: close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment Noise level is usually moderate. Compensation Pay range: $27.00 – $30.00 hourly, dependent on knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
