Our client, a prominent organization in the food service industry, is seeking a Cook to join their team. As a Cook, you will be part of the culinary support staff supporting the East Campus Dining Hall. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Cook
Location: Harrisonburg, VA
Pay Range: $19 per hour
Shift: Monday- Friday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
What's the Job?
Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and safety guidelines
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen
Assist in the organization and storage of ingredients and supplies
Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment as required
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and quality food service
What's Needed?
Experience as a cook or in a related culinary role
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
Ability to acquire food safety certification
Basic math and counting skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
